YourTuner privacy policy

What the app does with sound

YourTuner listens to your instrument through the microphone to work out the pitch of the string. The sound is analysed on the phone, in memory, and discarded at once. It is never sent anywhere.

Recordings you start yourself

A long press on the tuning name starts a diagnostic recording. It is written only to the app's private folder on your phone and leaves it only if you choose to share it through an app of your choice. Delete it by clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app.

What is not collected

The app has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party code that reports anything. It asks for no permission other than the microphone. Your settings, such as the chosen tuning, are stored on the phone only.

Children

The app is intended for people aged 13 and over and collects no personal information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new effective date.
